This may be a fanatic cookbook, but I must admit that I rarely exactly the recipe. Well, if you are cooking. Baking requires precise instructions. Maybe that's why I prefer to cook cooking dessert. My many cookbooks are used for ideas and / or suggestions for a meal. Besides, how many times have you found a recipe I wanted to make for dinner only to find that it has a couple of ingredients. I say go with a brand that you have and be creative.
I encourage people to be creative and use ingredients that families will enjoy. If
your family does not eat what you do for them, why are you wasting your
time with food preparation and arguing at the table to eat what is put
before them. If
a recipe calls for an ingredient that you know that your family does
not eat, like green beans, then go and use a vehicle that you'll love. Perhaps you prefer a yellow bean, or maybe a green pepper or broccoli. Or
maybe you only have green beans and know they will not eat them, my
suggestion is to chop very low and even put them in a blender and add
just a pan.
There are many creative ways to change a simple recipe. Here are some options:
Replacements
sweet potatoes for carrots
green beans, yellow beans
Peas Corn
Brussels sprouts
spinach for kale
beans chickpeas
rice noodles
white potatoes turnips
Chicken and turkey
Pork
sausage patty
These
are just a few suggestions and, as I said earlier, mashed bean sauce is
another way to ensure that your family receives the nutrients you
expected. Sometimes you just see something green in a pot, it is undesirable for some people. Now, if the green sauce mixture because it has green beans, try adding "Kitchen Bouquet" of gold seasoning sauce. Is a dark caramel sauce made from brown plant and is used to flavor meats, sauces and stews. It will transform your mashed beans in a color that looks like a sauce.
If a recipe calls for tomatoes and do not like tomatoes, use or omit the tomatoes in tomato sauce recipe. Some families do not like rice, but you can still make a stir-fry and serve over pasta.
There are many options to turn to when it comes to making sure your family gets the nutrients they need. Just be a little creative ... and learn not to be afraid to try new things.
I urge you to be creative when cooking for their families. Find simple recipes that are easy on the budget. We all want our families to get the nutrition they need, and sometimes you have to "adjust" a recipe for our families to dine. When
you find a recipe that might appeal to your family, but one or two
ingredients are something that your family does not eat, simply replace
it with something that will eat.
